Elk Illegally Killed Near Florence
FLORENCE, Ore. — An elk was illegally killed near Florence and police are looking for the person responsible.
A state trooper found an emaciated five-point bull elk in the Upper North Fork area Sunday. It appears to have been shot in the gut.
The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division says the elk may have been shots within the last two months.
Up to $500 will be rewarded for information that leads to an arrest.
