Coquille Tribe Kid’s Fishing Derby a Big Hit!

On Saturday, May 5th, the Coquille Tribe of Indians held a Kid’s Fishing Derby at Tarhell Lake in Barview that was enjoyed by young and old alike. 

Many families showed up for food and fishing, along with a fly fishing demonstration conducted by Oregon Outdoors show host Cam Parry.

Every child received a prize, whether they caught a fish or not.  And evident by his very large smile, three year old Kohl Haury (pictured), shows just how much fun the event was.
